About Us

Our group was started in early 2001 and we are growing fast. Queens Coalition for Parks and Green Spaces now has 414 member groups and is part of a city-wide coalition within all the boroughs of New York City. The basic mission of the Queens Coalition is to support:

bullet

Regular maintenance, recreation staff and recreational facilities for parks;

bullet

Increase park enforcement and more park rangers;

bullet

Increased volunteer programs in every district;

bullet

Staff and resources to provide horticultural and forestry services to every park;

bullet

Dollars generated in Parks should stay in Parks;

bullet

Any other issues that directly or indirectly impact the New York environment.

Come and join us! If you have park or park related issues, we want to know about them.
